GCAAI Membership

Qualifications for Membership

A. The qualifications for membership to the Association are either:

1. Holder of academic degree from Gordon College (formerly Olongapo City Colleges)
2. Holder of secondary/basic education diploma from Gordon College-Senior High School
3. Holder of academic title or postgraduate diploma from Gordon College (formerly Olongapo City Colleges)
4. Not having been dismissed for misconduct/offenses or scholastic/academic deficiency which is automatically considered not a member of the Association.

B. Membership to the association may be bestowed upon the approval of the GC-AA Board of Trustees:

1. Holders of honorary degrees from the College;
2. Former or current members of the faculty and staff of the College who have rendered service to the College for at least ten (10) years.

C. Active members are those who have qualified as members under Section 1 and 2, and are either:

1. Members who have paid lifetime membership dues;
2. Members who have paid and are up-to-date in their annual membership dues;
3. Members who have participated in such other programs that sustain, develop, and promote the Association’s objectives as determined by the Board.

D. The Alumni Oath shall be recited by a member who signifies its willingness to be part of and reflect its allegiance to the Association. The Alumni Oath shall be administered by the President or its duly authorized representative in a ceremony, commencement and/or event. The Alumni Oath in its current form is as follows:

I (state your name),
a graduate of Gordon College,
hereby undertake to
vigilantly upholds the ideals
and shield the honor of my Alma Mater,
and as a fulfilled member of the Gordon College Alumni Association, Inc.,
will uphold its Constitution and By-Laws,
to remain a true paragon towards excellence,
committed to do justice to everyone
in service to our country and our God.
