Last March 6, 2026, Gordon College, through its International Affairs and Linkages Office, welcomed visitors from IYES Language School. Two Japanese students conducted an engaging educational and cultural exchange with 2nd Year BS Tourism Management students taking THP101 – Foreign Language 1 under Ms. Jacqueline Fabian, Instructor. The class visit featured a mini cultural presentation and an introductory Japanese (Nihongo) lesson, where the visiting students shared insights into Japanese culture, including common conversations and greetings, as well as interesting Japanese onomatopoeic expressions used in daily life. The highlight of the session was the interactive Q&A activity, where students enthusiastically exchanged questions and ideas, creating a lively and meaningful dialogue between cultures. This initiative aimed to foster cross-cultural understanding, provide opportunities for both visitors and students to share experiences and perspectives, and create a warm, interactive, and memorable learning experience for everyone involved.
