TAPINAC OVAL — Gordon College students-turned-entrepreneurs set up over forty stores in the 2-day “CBA Entrepreneurship Fair 2024” held yearly by the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) in celebration of the week-long GC 25th Founding Anniversary amidst 38-degree Celsius heat today, February 20.

The College of Allied Health and Sciences (CAHS), College of Education, Arts, and Sciences (CEAS), College of Computer Sciences (CCS), and College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) also made an appearance with their respective stores in the fair.

CBA-GC wants students in BSBA in Financial Management, HR Management, and Marketing Management to promote collaborative and competitive skills, and give importance not only to their majors but also to entrepreneurship, especially to the first-time goers, BS in Accountancy (BSA) and Customs Administration (BSCA) students.

“As business and (accountancy) students, we want to nurture the entrepreneurial skills of the CBA students, this (fair) could be the trigger,” said Project Manager, Nigel N. Silvestre.

Among the stores, the Facebook favorites “Sisig Ni Nigel” of BSBA – FM 2B and “Mas Pinasarap Na Sisig Ni Nigel” of BSBA – HRM 2A all set up at the middle left and front right of the oval respectively to take over the “Sisig war.”

“Marketing (strategy) nila ‘yan, (ang) gamitin ang aking pangalan, go ahead,” added Silvestre.

Moreover, school organizations including the League of English Language and Literature Students (LELLS) and The Forefront put in place their respective stores to join the wars.

Olongapo City Agriculture and Eco-Tourism Office and the United Farmers and Fisherfolks Association also made their presence felt with their fresh fruits and vegetables at the fair.
