Today, Gordon College thru its GC DRRMU Commmitte-Members conducted an earthquake drill under the monitoring and observation of the Olongapo City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office to prepare students, faculty, and admin personnel for potential earthquakes and other natural disasters.
The drill began at 2:00 PM. During the drill, personnel and students demonstrated “Duck, Cover, and Hold” and evacuated from the school building when the shaking stops.
The objective of the drill is to ensure that all personnel and students are aware of the proper protocols in the event of an earthquake or other emergency situation.
Overall, the earthquake drill was deemed a success by organizers and participants alike.
With continued practice and preparedness, the hope is that the Gordon College community will be equipped to handle any emergency that may possibly occur.
