City of Olongapo honors TF’s performance in RHEPC21
The City of Olongapo recognized the delegates of The Forefront (TF), the official publication unit of Gordon College through the resolution proposed by Hon. Sarah Lugerna Lipumano- Garcia, City Councilor and the Chairperson of the Committee on Organizational Development and Personnel Matters, June 13 at Sangguniang Panlungsod, Session Hall, Olongapo City Complex.
Recently, the TF bagged 19 awards from the 21st Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC21) and brought honor and pride to the city.
The winners of the said event have been personally congratulated by the city councilors and the city vice mayor with an approved resolution, “A Resolution Congratulating the Editorial Board and Staff of Gordon College-The Forefront for Bagging 19 Awards in the 21st Regional Higher Education Press Conference held last May 17-19, at San Fernando City, Pampanga”.
In addition to that, the city councilors also asked the scribes of the publication to share their experiences from the competition.
Mr. Reggie Boy M. Vargas, the editor-in-chief of the TF led the discussion in the committee meeting headed by Hon. Lipumano.
Moreover, Vargas shared his immense gratitude for recognizing the performance of his team.
This was the first time the publication had joined the RHEPC and been recognized by the city through the legislation of a resolution.
