BOT confirms Soriano’s Appointment as New College President
Then Officer-In-Charge College President Dr. Imelda D.P. Soriano took office as a Full-Fledged College President last Thursday, February 6.
On a Facebook post by the official Gordon College (GC) page, her appointment as the new president was reviewed by the Search Committee for the New Gordon College President and formally approved by the Board of Trustees (BOT) during the board meeting.
The said meeting was attended by all BOT members and the confirmation was led by the BOT Chairperson, Hon. Rolen C. Paulino Jr., Committee on Education Chairperson, Hon. Cristabelle Marie C. Paulino, and Director of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDROIII), Dr. Lora L. Yusi.
Moreover, the now-confirmed-college president was the first president from a local university and college (LUC) in Region III to be appointed through CHED’s Search Committee for President (SCP) process.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Soriano and look forward to her visionary leadership in guiding Gordon College toward greater success and excellence,” the Facebook post also read.
