Thru a memondarum released by the Office of the College President, the following guidelines shall be observed to safeguard the health and welfare of the students:
1. Students with respiratory illnesses or heat-sensitive health conditions such as hypertension, and those with disabilities and special learning needs, may be excused from in-person classes. Adequate resources and support should be provided to ensure their continued learning.
2. The conduct of activities that expose students to direct sunlight or require excessive physical exertion during extreme heat conditions is not permitted.
3. On days when the heat index is forecasted to reach 42°c (dangerous) in Olongapo City, colleges may transition to online learning to prioritize the health and welfare of both students and faculty except for related learning experience, practicum, on-the-job training, or internships. Students coming from areas with a heat index forecasted to reach 42°c may request their instructors to excuse them from their classes.
4. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to carry water during class and work hours to stay hydrated.
5. For any health-related concerns, kindly proceed to the College Clinic (RM 120).
6. The requirement for students, faculty, and staff to wear uniforms is temporarily relaxed until further notice, however, the dress code should still be followed.
7. The library and function hall are designated as student lounges during the hot season except when there are previously scheduled activities in these areas.
