In celebration of Women’s Month this year, Ms. Lovelyn P. Ceralde, OIC Dean of the College of Business & Accountancy (CBA) and theVice President for Student Welfare & Services of Gordon College shared her experience as a woman who can lead.

In an interview with the Forefront, Ceralde emphasized that she has not encountered discrimination throughout her leadership.

“Okay, so I have not encountered discrimination because I know I am empowered, I know what I am doing technically,” the Vice President discussed.

In addition, she also said that her passion for her job has not allowed anyone to discriminate her.

“I know that with the passion that I have for my job, there’s no way that anyone can discriminate me as a woman,” the OSWS Head added.

Meanwhile, she also emphasized that discrimination will not be on the vocabulary because of the empowered women that leads the institution.

“Technically, we can see naman Gordon College is led by Women. Our College President and College Administrator are women, I have one co-VP who is also a woman, so technically we know that we are empowered and discrimination is not in the vocabulary,” the OIC Dean revealed.

Moreover, Ceralde also gave advice for women who experienced discrimination.

“You just always have to prove your worth, you have to empower yourself. If you were being discriminated because you’re a woman maaaring dun sa area na yon doon tayo mag focus, doon tayo mag empower, and sooner or later mawawala yung discrimination,” she stated.
