The Forefront journos once again demonstrated their grit and skills in campus journalism, securing several awards at the 24th Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC), held at Palm Cabanas Resort, Arayat, Pampanga, from February 11 to 13.
Two of the publication’s outgoing executive members, John Patrick Mateo (Editor-in-Chief) and Lance Isaac Leon (Associate Editor), were recognized as Outstanding Tertiary Campus Journalists (OTCJ) in Region III.
In the group category, the pub’s entry for Opening Billboard ranked 4th Place overall.
In individual categories, delegates from the publication bagged nine (9) awards as listed below.

Overall, The Forefront is the 11th Highest Pointer in individual categories against 42 participating college publications in Central Luzon.
Additionally, Keane Rafael Abdon is the newly elected division coordinator of Olongapo City for the Young Journalist Association of Region III (YJAR-III).
Five campus journalists from the publication, who garnered top 5 placements in their respective categories, will advance to the 21st Luzon-Wide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, next month to compete in eight categories. | via Mikhaela Sagun and Lance Isaac Leon, THE FOREFRONT
