One Vision. One Commitment. One Gordon College.

On 30 June 2026, Gordon College gathered its Management Committee Members for the Internationalization and Global Rankings Information Session and Awarding, with the theme “Strengthening Institutional Commitment Towards Global Recognition, Innovation, and Sustainable Impact.”

The strategic half-day engagement underscored the College’s strong commitment to advancing internationalization as a shared institutional responsibility. The program opened with inspiring messages from College President Dr. Imelda D.P. Soriano, who emphasized the importance of embracing internationalization as a strategic direction for the institution, followed by the Direction Setting of Dr. Kristin Joy A. Mendoza, Vice President for Institutional Planning, Development and External Affairs, who highlighted the College’s vision of becoming a globally engaged and internationally recognized higher education institution.

Participants were then taken through the GC’s Internationalization Journey, showcasing the institution’s milestones and growing participation in prestigious global higher education rankings and recognition platforms, including the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings, THE Awards Asia, THE World University Rankings, THE Asia University Rankings, World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), AppliedHE Rankings, and UniRank. The information session provided valuable insights into each ranking’s methodology, institutional requirements, and the preparations necessary to sustain Gordon College’s growing international presence.

The event also recognized the offices and individuals whose innovative initiatives earned Gordon College international distinction in various global rankings and awards, celebrating their valuable contributions to institutional excellence and innovation.

Further reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development, GC formally launched the Gordon College SDG Impact Awards, an institutional recognition program designed to encourage and celebrate programs, projects, and innovations that advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The program culminated in a meaningful Commitment Setting, where members of the Management Committee collectively pledged to champion internationalization, strengthen institutional collaboration, and continuously pursue excellence, innovation, and sustainability in support of Gordon College’s aspiration for greater global recognition.

As Gordon College continues to broaden its international footprint, the activity reaffirmed a shared commitment that global recognition is not achieved by a single office/department, but through the collective efforts, leadership, and excellence of the entire Gordon College community.
