Gordon College – College of Computer Studies (GC-CCS), in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Zambales, successfully conducted the initial product presentation of LPCC Ikot Palengke and Fair Trade Law Monitoring activities under PROJECT METRO: Monitoring Enforcement & Tracking Resource Online on January 29, 2026.

The presentation was piloted by OneDev, a team of third-year BSIT student developers—Marina Camaso, Paulo Cordova, Nikolai Nepomuceno, Earl Romeo Ordovez, Aaron Paul Sario, and Seann Patrick Tamondong—who showcased a prototype of a digital system designed to enhance government operations across province-wide public markets and retail establishments. The system aims to strengthen consumer protection, enforce fair trade laws, and improve efficient public service delivery through accurate data collection and monitoring.

The activity was attended by Gordon College administrators, headed by Dr. Imelda DP. Soriano, College President; Dr. Darwin P. Paguio, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Erlinda S. Casela-Abarintos, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Kristin Joy A. Mendoza, Vice President for Institutional Planning and External Affairs; Dr. Ediric D. Gadia, Vice President for Research Development and Community Extension Services; Dr. Precious De Castro, Coordinator of the International Affairs Unit; Prof. Ronnie D. Luy, Dean of the College of Computer Studies; Prof. Armilyn T. Martinez, Assistant Dean of the College of Computer Studies; and Prof. Reynaldo G. Bautista Jr., Program Coordinator of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Also present were officials from DTI Zambales, led by Mr. Neil John Fabay, Division Chief of the Consumer Protection Division, along with Ms. Marilou Benonto and Ms. Melody Tangonan, Senior Trade Industry Development Specialists.

This initiative highlights Gordon College’s commitment to innovation and technology-driven governance, emphasizing its role in advancing the institution’s global technology and general assistance initiatives.
