Representatives from various departments of Gordon College, serving as members of the Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System, successfully concluded a benchmarking visit to Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) last August 08, 2025. The activity aimed to strengthen the College’s GAD programs by learning from PLM’s best practices in promoting gender equality, inclusivity, and institutional development.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by PLM officials and staff. The visit featured comprehensive presentations on PLM’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) framework, gender-responsive policies, and student-centered initiatives. Delegates also toured PLM’s academic and administrative facilities, including specialized units dedicated to personnel and student support and welfare.
An open forum provided an opportunity for Gordon College representatives from different units to engage with PLM counterparts, exchanging strategies on implementing GAD-related projects, integrating gender perspectives in policies.
This activity reinforces Gordon College’s commitment to fostering a gender-responsive, inclusive, and equitable academic environment through continuous learning and partnership with other higher education institutions.
