On October 5, 2023, the institution celebrates this year’s World Teacher’s Day with the theme “The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want: The Global Imperative to Reverse the Teacher Shortage. The celebration officially started at 2:00 p.m. at Gordon College Function Hall.
Meanwhile, the event was attended by Prof. Arlida M. Pame, College President, and Dr. Imelda DP. Soriano, College Administrator, Dr. Darwin P. Paguio, Dr. Ediric Gadia, Vice President for Research Development and Community Extension Services, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Ms. Lovelyn P. Ceralde, Vice President for Student Welfare and Services along with Gordon College faculty members.
Additionally, the event was spearheaded by Ms. Kimberly Recitis, Student Organizations Coordinator who allowed various Student Organizations and Councils to plan and successfully execute yesterday’s celebration.
Moreover, the overall program yesterday was headed by the Gordon College- Supreme Student Council (GC SSC) along with their collab organizations.
On the other hand, the crowd became loud after the arrival of Hon. Atty. Rolen C. Paulino, Jr. shared a message of gratitude to the Gordon College faculty members. Furthermore, he also gave cash to those teachers who won during the raffle.
Lastly, the first-ever Teacher’s Day special awarding ceremony also took place yesterday. The initiative was led by the GC-SSC in which they surveyed different colleges.

The event was hosted by Jez Ann Radam, GC SSC Secretary, and Kenneth Albert Santos from Communication Society. The celebration formally concluded through the closing remarks delivered by Ms. Monica Estrada, Vice Chairperson of GC SSC.
