Exhibiting brilliance, a third-year Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English (BSED-E) student at Gordon College, John Khristopher Bugarin, stunned the netizens with a Facebook post showing his artistic talent in making miniature buses made of vellum board, markers, and pens.
He uses acetate film for its windows and yellow textiles for its curtains. The miniature buses also have ring interior lights that alternate with orange and green, just like a real Victory Liner Bus model.
John Kristopher’s love for buses started when he was six (6) years old, and he has been riding the same bus company whenever they travel home from Umingan, Pangasinan. According to John, he began collecting his bus tickets in February 2011, when his oldest ticket was dated.
“Siguro, in the future, continue lang po on bus spotting on my free time since nagiging happy na po ako basta may nacacapture akong bus. Isa rin po yan talaga sa mga nagpapasaya sakin pag stressed ako. Dahil po sa pagiging bus enthusiast ko madami na rin po akong bagong kaibigan na mga bus enthusiast din, akala ko po kasi noon ako lang yung may ganitong hobby,” he said in an interview with 93.5 Brigada News FM Olongapo.
He stated that once he improves his miniature buses, he will then start accepting commissions from those who are interested in buying his artwork.
Aside from making model buses, the young artist also enjoys photography, where he mostly features buses from Victory Liner, Inc. John Kristopher has his own Facebook page (JK Archives), where you can follow him and support his work.
