OLONGAPO CITY, Philippines—Admission and Testing Unit (ATU) Coordinator Christine Moselina said on Monday, February 16, that the Gordon College Admission Test (GCAT) result will be available within three-working days after taking the exam.
In an improvement over the previous week-long release period, the office has shortened the turnaround time of the admission test’s results to three days after examination.
“Maximum na submission ng result [is] 3 days, ma-u-upload na sa [Gordon College Admission (GCA)] portal nila ‘yong kanilang result. Ang waiting game diyan is ‘yong evaluation [from] coordinator,” Moselina said.
She also noted that the new system reverses the usual flow: applicants must provide their details and requirements, including their Grade 11 records instead of Grade 12 for initial review before they can sign up for a new GCA account.
“Before, ang dami kasing nagkakaroon ng problems with regard to the submission ng requirements. [May mga] nakapag-register pero ‘yong requirements kulang-kulang, so kami ang nahihirapan sa admissions.”
However, applicants are still required to provide their Grade 12 records to their coordinators for evaluation at the time of their interview.
As of February 20, with a week remaining until the expected end, the office has logged 3,930 registrations, compared to the 5,666 total applicants recorded last year.
“GCAT natin is until June 30 pa, matagal-tagal pa. Madadagdagan pa ‘yan,” the coordinator said.
