The three-day program comes to an end as Gordon College (GC) conducts an exit conference for the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) last November 28, at the Gordon College Main Building, Function Hall.

Vying for one Level III program, five Level II programs, and two candidate programs this year, the institution’s big step is a leap for development, embodying character, excellence, and service along the way.

“This is not the end,” Dr. Imelda DP. Soriano opened the exit conference of this year’s accreditation with a firm statement.

The accreditors commended the institution’s strengths including the Library Ambassadors Organization (LAO), community extension programs, and professionalism.

Meanwhile, they also recommended improvements such as stronger programs to supplement both students’ and teachers’ needs, more tangible and sustainable community extensions, and subjects that focus on application rather than theories.

As Dr. Elizabeth Montero, the supervising accreditor said in her message, “The new oil now is consistency,” a reminder to stay true and stand into the lenses of continuous development where growth is evident and seen.

In response, Ms. Geraldine Raydanas and Mrs. Rowenalyn Sagun expressed their utmost gratitude and promised to improve in the areas mentioned.

Ending the program, Dr. Kristin Joy Mendoza, secretary of GC’s Board of Trustees, left a valuable statement regarding institutionalization and sustainability.

“Every accreditation is an opportunity to innovate and fill the spaces where we can do better,” Dr. Mendoza emphasized.

Meanwhile, the results of the 2025 accreditation are set to be announced in the next few weeks. | via Mikhaela Sagun/The FOREFRONT
