The event began with a welcoming remark from College President, Dr. Imelda Soriano, who emphasized the importance of pushing academic boundaries to create meaningful change in education. Following Dr. Soriano’s remarks, the convocation featured a lecture by Dr. Aida Hanim A. Hamid, Senior Lecturer in Educational Management at the National University of Malaysia 🇲🇾. Dr. Hamid’s presentation focused on the importance of crossing geographic, disciplinary, institutional, and cultural borders in higher education. She highlighted how these efforts foster collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation in academic settings, inspiring attendees to think beyond traditional boundaries in their own work.

The lecture was followed by an open forum, providing attendees the opportunity to engage directly with Dr. Hamid. Participants asked insightful questions and shared ideas, deepening the conversation on how graduate education can address global challenges and create positive change.

As the event ended, Prof. Kristin Joy A. Mendoza, Vice President for Institutional Planning, Development, and External Affairs, delivered the closing remarks.
