The Gordon College, through its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Unit as the GC-GFPS Secretariat, successfully facilitated a seminar for members of the Gordon College Gender and Development Focal Point System (GC-GFPS) entitled “Empowering GFPS Members through the Application of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines” on June 13, 2025, held at the GC Library Audio-Visual Room.

This capacity-building initiative was organized to further strengthen the College’s gender mainstreaming efforts. It aimed to equip GC-GFPS members with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively integrate gender perspectives into the institution’s programs, projects, and activities. The seminar primarily focused on the application of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG)—a critical framework designed to ensure that development initiatives are gender-responsive and aligned with the overarching goals of gender equality and women’s empowerment.
