GC Silver Anniversary Theme Song Contest

  1. The contest is open to all students, alumni, faculty and non-teaching personnel of Gordon College.
  2. The song must be an original composition, must be in English, and must not have been used as an entry in any song competitions.
  3. The content of the song must be lively, appealing, creative and must highlight the 25th foundation anniversary celebration theme: “Sustaining Inclusivity, Living with Values of Equity and Responsiveness”
  4. The use of offensive and rude words is strictly prohibited.
  5. Any musical instrument can be used as accompaniment at the composer’s discretion.
  6. All entries with attachment of the lyrics should be submitted in one (1) MP3 and one (1) MP4 format via google drive to: olaguer.juanalyn@gordoncollege.edu.ph
  7. . With the subject title “GC-25TH_JINGLE-ENTRY_GROUPNAME”.
  8. The duration of the song entry is not less than 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes.
  9. The participants must form a group composed of 1 to 5 members only. Group leaders are required to provide list of their names along with:
    Students – Photocopy of Gordon College ID
    Faculty and non-teaching personnel– Photocopy of Employee ID
    Alumni– GC Alumni Association Proof of membership.
  10. The deadline of submission is on or before February 10, 2024.
  11. All videos will be critiqued and screened by the selection committee based on the criteria below:

  1. Final Judging shall be made after the deadline for submission of all entries. The committee shall have the exclusive rights to the winning entry; thus, this cannot be submitted to any other competition. Likewise, the committee reserves the right to further refine or make improvements on the final work of the winning entry.
  2. The decision of the judges will be final and irrevocable.
  3. PRIZES

• 1st Place: Php 5,000 with Certificate

• 2nd Place: Php 3,000 with Certificate

• 3rd Place: Php 2,000 with Certificate

  1. The winning piece will be used as the official GC Silver Anniversary Theme Song for 2024. Gordon College shall have the right of ownership of the song and may be used for the production of an improved version for official use and distribution.
