Gordon College (GC) proudly represented Olongapo and the Philippines at the 3rd WURI Global Conference, hosted by the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) in Deggendorf, Germany, on September 23, 2026.
Marking a historic milestone for the institution, the GC delegation took center stage on Day 1 to present two of its four groundbreaking initiatives recognized among the WURI 2026 Top 100 Innovative Programs:
Rank #67 (Visionary Leadership): “From Local to Global: Grassroots Leadership in Action,” presented by Ms. Precious S. De Castro, Coordinator of the International Affairs and Linkages Unit.
Rank #83 (SDG & ESG-Based Responses to Global Changes): “Project iWAVES (Inclusivity Workforce Advancement Via Education and Skills),” presented by Ms. Jenny Mae Lagman, Instructor I at the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
In addition to sharing GC’s best practices in visionary leadership, social inclusion, and sustainable workforce development, both Ms. De Castro and Ms. Lagman were appointed as WUNI-Experts Board Members—solidifying the college’s role in shaping international academic networks and global higher education policy.
Through active participation in WURI 2026, Gordon College continues to prove that community-rooted solutions can drive world-class innovation, foster global collaboration, and elevate the future of education.
