Terms and Conditions of Use
GC-Connek is a free Wi-Fi service provided by Gordon College. The following terms and conditions apply specifically to the use of this Wi-Fi service and are subject to revision at any time.
- Technical Support: GC-Connek does not provide technical support to assist with configuring personal devices for Wi-Fi access.
- Device Settings: GC-Connek is not responsible for any changes made to a device’s settings in an attempt to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
- Network Security: GC-Connek cannot guarantee continuous security on the wireless network. Access and use of the Wi-Fi service are at the user’s own risk.
- Service Interruptions & Data Loss: GC-Connek is not responsible for data loss resulting from connection delays, non-deliveries, service interruptions, technical difficulties, or virus transmissions.
- User Privacy: GC-Connek respects user privacy and will not capture personal information while users access the service unless explicit consent is granted.
- Data Collection: Upon acceptance of these terms and conditions, GC-Connek will collect and store the IP and MAC addresses of devices connected to the Wi-Fi network.
- Third-Party Access: GC-Connek is not responsible for any third-party use of personal information intercepted or obtained through the wireless network.
Automatic Logout
- You will be automatically logged out of the Wi-Fi Service if:
- Your access is terminated due to a breach of these terms and conditions.
- The wireless connection is lost, disconnected, or falls out of range.
- No activity is detected from your wireless-enabled device for a continuous period.
Release of Liability and Indemnification
By using the GC-Connek Wi-Fi Service, you release and discharge Gordon College from any liability arising from your use of the Wi-Fi Service, including liability related to defamatory or offensive material or copyright infringement.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Gordon College, its administration, and its staff from and against all loss, damage, liability, charges, and expenses (including all reasonable legal and professional fees) arising from your breach of these terms and conditions.
