TF marks history at 21st LHEPC; 3 scribes snatch indiv awards
The Forefront (TF) delegates secured three individual awards, first time in the publication’s Luzon-wide stint, at the 21st Luzon-Wide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) from March 17-19, at NGN Grand Hotel in Tuguegarao City.
Representing Central Luzon, the individual category participants bagged awards in: Traditional Literary Graphics Illustration (English), 3rd place, from Senior Layout Artist Angelique Jose; Head of Traditional Arts Mary Isobelle Arcilla secured 7th Place in Traditional Comic Strip Drawing (English); and John Christian Rocero, former social media manager, took home 9th place in Photojournalism (English).
At the same time, John Patrick Mateo, Editor-in-Chief, participated in Devcomm Writing (Filipino) while Lance Isaac Leon, Associate Editor, participated in Editorial Writing (English) and Column Writing (English).
Moreover, Region III was named the Best Performing Region for the Individual and Group categories.
Announced on the same day, LHEPC will be replaced next year by the 1st National Higher Education Press Conference (NHEPC), to be hosted by Region I at Vigan City.
