TF’s Luto, among top newsletters at 2026 AOCPA; scribes bag 4 individual awards

he Forefront, the official student publication of Gordon College, took home the 8th Most Outstanding Campus Newsletter and four individual awards at the 6th Assumption Outstanding Campus Press Awards (AOCPA).

The event, hosted by the University of the Assumption’s Regina, took place in San Fernando, Pampanga, on February 27.

The first semestral issue of The Forefront, Luto, was one of this year’s recipients of Most Outstanding Campus Newsletter.

During the awards ceremony, the publication’s Editor-in-Chief John Patrick Mateo earned the 2nd Most Outstanding Campus Journalist award.

Opinion-Editorial Editor Stephanie Estrella’s piece, “Pundido ang ilaw sa susunod na kalsada”, made her the 4th Most Outstanding Editorial Writer and Punto Central Luzon’s Choice for Most Outstanding Editorial Writer.

Meanwhile, Head of Visual Arts Maryisobelle Arcilla was named the 10th Most Outstanding Editorial Cartoonist in another Luzon-wide stint.

The annual awards, featuring 46 publications from various regions in the north, saw The Forefront emerge as one of Luzon’s best.
