“Lord, hindi ako magtatampo kung hindi mo ibibigay sa akin.”

This is the silent cry of Chester Pislaan, a 4th-year student from the College of Education, Arts, and Sciences (CEAS) of Gordon College, before he was crowned as Mr. Tourism Olongapo 2025 during the grand coronation on October 10, 2025, held at the SMX Olongapo Convention Center, SM City Olongapo Central.

Pislaan expressed his plans to use his platform to promote sustainable fashion and empower student workers and breadwinners as the newly crowned Mr. Tourism Olongapo.

“I will focus on informing everyone to refuse fast fashion while also sharing my story, especially with student workers,” he highlighted his advocacy for both environmental and social awareness.

The CEAS Student has a strong will to win, but admitted that things turned upside down when he saw how well the other candidates performed, saying that he’s just like the other contestants— with a heart full of hope and dreams.

“He [Lord] gave me these titles not just for recognition but to expand my reach,” his sentiment after being announced as the winner. He described the moment as both surreal and purposeful, as he connected his earlier achievements as Ginoong Linggo ng Kabataan – Olongapo and Mr. Gordon College Siklab 2025 to a broader mission of service and inspiration.

In addition, Candidate #6 Marc Anthony Acula from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), earned the title of 2nd Runner-Up. Candidate #1 Jerichson Martorillas, a student from the College of Education, Arts, and Sciences (CEAS), brought pride to the competition by winning the Best in Talent Award.

Meanwhile, Candidate #7 Blair Ollague, also from CBA, and Candidate #3 Bobby Ken Alfonso Morata from College of Computer Studies (CCS), delivered an exceptional performance that highlighted their confidence, poise, and dedication, making both candidates standout figures of the night. | via Lovely Doroin/The FOREFRONT.
