CHTM Sharks sealed the set against CEAS Mentors in Men’s Singles
TRICKSHOT COVERED COURT—The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) Sharks bagged the gold again during the men’s badminton singles championship match, 21-6, defeating the College of Education, Arts and Sciences (CEAS) Mentors.
With his outstanding performance, Kryztofer Matias Basa of CHTM Sharks ended the finals with two straight sets, leaving no chance for his opponent to recover.
In an interview, Basa shared that he already expected the victory as he had once played with a stronger player before.
“‘Yu‘n pa yung ginamit ko na motivation para magchampion ulit yung CHTM,” he said when asked about being pressured to defend the previous win of CHTM last SIKLAB.
He also expressed his joy in playing with passion and humility. “Iniisip ko lang is maging humble, and…sportsmanship,” he added.
Moreover, the College of Computer Studies secured the bronze medal, while the College of Business and Accountancy and the College of Allied Health got the 4th and 5th place, respectively. | via Jeliza Tadena/The FOREFRONT
