In Solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ Community: Gordon College Joins the Pride March 2023
JUNE 30, 2023—GCians proudly walked in the latest “Pride March, a culminating event for this year’s pride month, held in Olongapo City.
To them, this is not just an annual celebration but ultimately a movement against gender injustice and discrimination. Events such as the Pride March promote gender equality and inclusivity, which also serve as an avenue for the LGBTQIA+ community to be more recognized in society.
Last friday, GCians proved once again that they can make a difference in the lives of others by encouraging the youth to provoke alienation from people outside the LGBTQIA+ community.
This agenda rooted in philanthropic causes strongly supports the idea of Gordon College, ensuring solidarity within the LGBTQIA+ community by staying present, showing up, and spotlighting the unwavering spirit and incredible resiliency as shown by today’s LGBTQIA+ youth and allies in the institution.
Having that said, the community of Gordon College wishes you that even if it’s not the month of June, may the PRIDE parade and march with you.
