The Forefront Bags 18 Awards in RHEPC-III
The Forefront, the Official Student Publication Unit of Gordon College, ranked 9th among the top-performing publications in the Individual Category following their “hakot” wins in multiple individual categories among 30 school publications in Central Luzon from the recently concluded 21st Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) held at Villa Alfredo’s Resort, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, May 17 to 19.
Despite the lack of training due to time constraints and schedule unavailability, Reggie Boy Vargas, Editor-in-Chief of The Forefront, was proud of the publication’s performance in the said three-day conference and competition.
The Forefront’s writers and artists proved their dedication to representing the publication well as they bagged multiple awards in various categories at the press conference.

Meanwhile, Vargas expressed his gratitude and happiness at the publication’s debut.
“Knowing na first year ng The Forefront to join RHEPC, not even a single word can express the joy we are feeling right now since almost 20 ang naiuwing awards ng [The Forefront]. Literal na nabuhay ang phrase na ‘expect the unexpected’,” said Vargas, expressing his pouring excitement over the publication’s win.
