ALCU R3 RC President Dr. Filipinas Bognot and Vice President Dr. Ediric D. Gadia awarding the Certificates of Recognition to the student presenters and researches from various colleges in the region.
Gordon College students took part in the recently concluded 1st Regional Students Research Colloquium organized by the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Region III Research Council (ALCU R3 RC) with the theme, “Strengthening a Culture of Research through Students’ Empowerment in the 21st Century.” Participated by various schools in the region, the Colloquium was held last November 28, 2018 at the City College of Angeles (CCA), Angeles City, Pampanga.
Dr. Soledad Mina-Roguel, Dean of the Institute of Education at Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges, Inc. graced the event and gave a keynote address before the student researchers. Dr. Efren F. Abulencia, Supervisor of Teacher Education, Graduate School Programs and Research in the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III) was also present and gave his inspirational message.
The students took the challenge of presenting their researches, with topics in the field of education, food technology, business, and hospitality, information technology, and nursing and midwifery during the parallel sessions. 18 participants were students from Gordon College.
The students were joined by Research Development and Community Extension Services and ALCU R3 RC Vice President Dr. Ediric D. Gadia, College of Allied Health Studies Assistant Dean Ms. Maria Sandra Rivera, and College of Computer Studies Research Coordinator Mr. Arnie Armada.
In line with this event, an upcoming Faculty Research Forum, also organized by the ALCU R3 RC, will be held in January 25, 2019 at the CCA.
